I used the word “detest” because they say “hate” is a strong word, and besides…

I don’t “hate” internet marketing gurus,, I just intensely dislike how they go about their online business shenanigans…

Let me explain…

I could give you more than 3 reasons I detest internet marketing “gurus,” but in the interest of time, let’s start with 3…

#1. The unnecessary “biggest ” contest!

A lot of times you see these gurus boasting about they have the biggest list, the biggest mansion, the biggest following on social media, the faster car etc…

…but rarely do you hear them brag about the most success stories.

I like to be more low-key so you’d never see me flashing money online, using the “money phone” etc., I just boast about our success stories because if our clients aren’t having success, we are losing.

When they brag about those things, the biggest challenge they create for other people who are looking to build their businesses is that…

They make you feel like you have to also have those things and that level of “celebrity” to create success and it’s absolutely false.

#2. They Turn Pre-K Math Into Trigonometry

Now I dropped out in tenth grade and Algebra 2 is partly to blame, so I never got the honor of going head to head with Trigonometry, but the word on the streets is that it can be pretty challenging.

On the other hand, when my 7-year old, Mj, comes home (virtually speaking) with his homework, he can quickly slaughter it like David did Goliath!

“So what are you saying Marquel?”

Well building a 6 or 7-Figure coaching or consulting business is like Pre-K math, but most internet marketing gurus like to complicate it like Trigonometry for job security and so you don’t become competition for them.

This is why they make us believe we have to have endless upsells, downsells, cross-sells, 365 Day email campaigns, automations out the wazoo and the new software they came up with while smoking weed and taking shots of fireball whiskey.

Ooops, am I revealing too much? Oh well…

#3. They’re Habitual Liars


Here’s what I mean…

They say things like “building a 6 or 7-Figure coaching or consulting business is easy!”

Then when you join their program and reach out for help, they’re as hard to find as the Loch Ness Monster.

It is simple, but it can be challenging at times (which is good, because it keeps the wantrepreneurs at bay).

For me, I don’t want to work with anyone who’s looking for “The Easy Way”

First off, it’s extremely important you understand what I’m telling you…

I can help you, I just won’t. I’m capable of it, but I refuse to do it.

Why?

 

Because when I hear someone say, “What’s the easiest way”, what I’m really hearing is…

“I’m not fully invested in the long-term success of my own business …and am therefore not fully invested in the long-term success of my customers and clients.”

And that really translates to “I don’t want to put it the work”.

Look, selling things on the Internet is HARD WORK. yes, when it’s all up and running, it can be just like you imagined: Passive revenue and money while you sleep.

But that takes A LOT OF EFFORT to create and it takes EFFORT to maintain.

Quite frankly, this is why most people quit, however, if you’re up to getting out of your comfort zone and sticking it out you can become extremely wealthy and create a life that you absolutely adore.
