I don’t care how many leads you generate per day, because if you’re not converting any of those leads into income it’s a complete waste of time and effort. In this short blog post, I’m going to share with you the #1 strategy to instantly increase your lead to sale ratio and it’s probably not what you think.
I take pride and telling all of my team members and clients the TRUTH about creating success in the Home Business Industry whether it’s what they want to hear or not. And the TRUTH is that whether you’re using Online or Offline Marketing the fastest way to turn those leads that you generate into dollars is to pick up the phone.
I know that may be the complete opposite of what many of the “Goo Roos” tell you online, but people want to do business with people. Now don’t get me wrong, some people will sign up in your funnel without you having to call them, but what about those that don’t?
Many times the reason they don’t sign up is because they’re skeptical and they’re not sure if there’s a real person behind the website because they’ve entered their info in a MILLION websites and never got a call(I’m going to let you in on a little Secret towards the end of the blog post so just bare with me for a few).
The reason no one has called them is because the large majority of Home Business Owners are TERRIFIED of picking up the phone and prospecting and that’s simply because no one has ever taught them how to do it the right way.
Fortunately, I was blessed to be exposed to phone sales at a very young age(16 yrs young to be exact) and even bought my first car, which was a 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88, from a $800 check that I received in one week worth of sales.
In addition to that, I’ve even managed Sales Offices and helped the offices to TRIPLE their production and today I’m going to share with you the same formula that I train these Sales Offices on to help them TRIPLE their production which I truly believe is going to work wonders for you and your business as well, so let’s Get 2 it…
7 Step Power Prospecting Formula-So Simple A 16 Year Old Can Do It…
1. Create “YES” Momentum
-The more “YES” you get from a prospect, the better they feel. If you don’t believe me, say the word, “YES,” like you mean it. See, I told you.
-To go even deeper, when you were a child and your parents told you “YES” how did you feel?
-We’ve been conditioned that “YES” is Good and “NO” is Bad so get your prospect saying “YES” to get them in a positive state.
-These even goes for your marketing and advertsing. If you can get your prospect saying “YES” when seeing your marketing message the rest gets very easy.
-The Fastest and Easiest Way to Get Your 1st “YES” is to…
2. Always Assume That The Person You’re Calling For Is The Person That Answers the Phone
-Example: YOU: “Hello, Johnny?” PROSPECT: “YES” this is Johnny.
-I know you’re thinking, but what if Johnny isn’t the one that answers the phone and that’s a GREAT Question.
-Here’s an Example for that situation:
*YOU: Hey Johnny?
*PERSON THAT ANSWERS: Hold on one second. Johnny get the phone.
*JOHNNY: Who is it?
*PERSON THAT ANSWERS: I don’t know, I didn’t ask.
Now 1 of 2 Things will happen…
a)Johnny will get on the phone and say “YES” this is Johnny” or
b) The person that answers(also know as the Gate Keeper) will say “Who Is This?” and with POSTURE, you respond, this is Marquel(just use your first name) Leads that you generate are EXCITED to hear from you…TRUST ME!
3. Comprehension Questions
-When you’re going through your script/conversation you want to make sure your prospect is engaged with you by getting them involved and letting them answer.
-Here are a Few Examples:
“Does That Make Sense?”
“Do You See How That Works?”
“Is That Clear?”
“Do You Understand That Better Now?”
-The want to ask these questions, so that you get their TRUTH because of course you know where you want to take them, but first you have to understand where they are. Does that make sense?
4. “YES” Based Questions
-DO NOT ask questions that have a NO answer.
-NO Based: “You don’t want to continue to suffer like that, right?” “You don’t want to continue to be Broke, right?”
-YES Based: “So it sounds to me like you want to generate some extra income so you can have some spare cash in your business and spend more time with your family…Is that right, {Prospect Name}?” PROSPECT: “Yes, It Is!”
5. Small Commitments Equal BIG Checks
-Many people that that when we talk to a Prospect that are suppose to buy RIGHT NOW and that’s the wrong mindset!
-It takes about 3-5 “YES’” before you ask for any commitment of action.
-Think about this an Intimate Relationship…When you first meet someone you’re interested in, do you just walk up to them and hug and kiss them? NO! You introduce yourself, have a conversation, exchange numbers, go out on a date etc. Those are all small commitments which lead to a BIG Check which could be marriage and/or even kids
6. Commitment Evolution
-Do you have 5 Mins. to talk right now? This is a Time commitment.(the worse thing you want to do is just start talking and they are busy).
-G.A.P them. Which simple means, tell them to “Grab a Pen and a Piece of Paper) which is another commitment.
-Have them COMMIT to watching a webinar, recording video, attending a meeting or conference call. Preferably something they can check out from home, because next you want to get them to commit to…
-A Follow Up Time, which leads to
-A Small Transaction(which is sign up on your team or become a customer).
7. DIAL-DIAL-DIAL(Keep Smiling & Dialing)
-DO NOT be afraid to pick up the phone because if you don’t call them, I will.
-Keep In Mind that most Generated Leads are EXCITED to hear from you.
There you have it. A 7 Step Power Prospecting Formula that I used to buy my first car, train Sales Offices to TRIPLE their production and I still use to this day to build my Empire from the comfort of my home.

High vibe it. People become excited about an opp if they see the benefit in it, and getting Yes’es is a super way to do this.
Get on the horn guys. People are sometimes stunned to receive a phone call. Establish posture: they want you to call them, to care about them, to listen.
I remember my first phone call from my sponsor. I was surprised. Totally new to the internet thing, and I remember many vets talking about “not having to make a phone call.”
This is the wrong way to do it. Business is relationships, connections and helping people realize you are a real, living, breathing person who wants to help them succeed.
Get on the phone. Prove that you are real.

Getting on the phone increases Lead to Sale Conversion in a major way. I was marketing an online system not long a go and my sponsor, asked me what I was doing to have such a high Lead to Sale Conversion Rate and I simply replied, “I’m picking up the phone and calling ALL my leads!” I’m glad you enjoyed the post, buddy!
